Wood Structures from Detail to Utopia

Catch the exhibition “Wood Structures from Detail to Utopia” of the PEEK (FWF) funded research project Conceptual Joining where Clemens Preisinger was a mentor. The team at Karamba3D also assisted with the two focus projects presented at the exhibition.

Weekly panel discussions in German and English will be held during the exhibition period

Zeynep Aksoz will present the research “An interactive Structural Optimization of Space Frame Structures using Machine Learning”, co-authored by Clemens Preisinger, at the Design Modelling Syposium in Berlin.

Adam Orlinski will be teaching a two day workshop from 23-24 September at the Structural Design Institute at the Faculty of Architecture and Design at the Hochschule Wismar (University of Applied Sciences, Business and Design).

Apply now for the [email protected] which will take place on Tuesday 8th October 2019 in Rotterdam. Participants will compete in multidisclipinary teams to design and analyse steel structures using Karamba3D, KarambaIDEA and IDEA Statica Connection.

The Hackathon is hosted by Bouwen met Staal and the SMARTconnection research project.

Rayaan Ajouz has developed a plugin that allows for exchange between Karamba3D and IDEA Statica for detailed joint analysis. The development was part of the research project SMARTconnection.

The Karamba3D workshop in Vienna lead by Clemens Preisinger in collaboration with Zeynep Aksos and Matthew Tam will be taking place from Julz 3-5.
