Domenig & Huth were commissioned to create a proposal for Waltendorf-Ragnitztal. The land used for agricultural purposes was bought on the cheap and the site should be covered with buildings in order to maximize the profit. They created an urban structure that includes all different kinds of supplies for its inhabitants. The assembled units create a primary structure which is combineable in its orthogonal order and also summable and reduceable.
The seminar involved analysing Domenig & Huth’s original proposal in relationship to its architectural concepts, structure, context and time. The second part consisted of proposing an alternative method of construction & structural design using contemporary techniques that would also relate to the architects’ original concepts.
